Loved it, dorms were great met lots of backpackers. Staff was super friendly and I became quite close with a couple of them before I left. All in all a perfect dorm.

a bit dirty, especially the toilet. the electrical wires of the lighting is sometimes out of order during our stay. bed is comfortable. but if you don't dive with Scuba Junkie, don't stay here, will be double of the divers price!!

Again the bus to Semporna was really very comfortable and we arrived in Semporna feeling refreshed and excited to explore a different side of Borneo, the water side.

Semporna is the mainland gateway to the Semporna archipelago. Apparently every tourist gives the same answer when asked why they have come to Semporna; Diving! We were a …

It's hard to place that feeling, something that makes you feel beyond welcome. So comfortable and friendly towards others, it makes me feel like a different person. I wish I could grasp this feeling, this confident, sociable and go gettem' attitude I had in Semporna. I know now I cannot go home till I find the way to make this me. I'm sick of the …

So tomorrow we fly from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to Bali, Indonesia. Because we have been out of decent wifi for a while, I shall round up what we have been up to this last week! After landing in Kota Kinabalu we got the 'night bus' down to Lahad Datu. There we met two Brits - Lucy and Anthony who told us about their dives in Semporna and their …

I left Sepilok at 8am, the nearer you got to Semporna the more military presence there was, at one point a few miles out of the town there was a car surrounded by shouting police pointing guns. We arrived a few roadblocks later at Semporna at 2pm. Upon arrival we were inundated with taxi drivers and also young guys with wheelbarrows offering to …

We got on the bus headed to Semporna at 8 AM. It was a five hour journey with plenty of Chinese Kung fu movies and topped off with a sprinkling of Malaysian pop videos. Once in Semporna we were welcomed streight away by a guy who worked for Uncle Chang's guest house and dive centre. I had already been told by a Dutch woman weeks earlier that thi...
