... and there was no such thing as a “safety barricade”. Rather, we were met with a 15m steel cross that was the site of many religious pilgrimages, including that of a group of 20-somethings that had been right behind us for the final ascent and made sure to stop for a mandatory selfie and a prayer once they reached the top. So even if you hadn’t found God yet, there was no better opportunity than now!

... about Polish people during the Second World War. The walk through displays were well presented and it was easy to follow. Oskar Schindler's factory produced enamelware and some armaments. He employed a lot of Jewish people and provided food and assistance to them. This kept them out of the concentration camps and saved their lives. .

We stayed the night at Zakopane, a little village in the Tatra Mountains.
