We hope to find lodging near to the castle so we can visit on foot tomorrow. We first see the imposing 12th century edifice from a sweeping viaduct that takes traffic past the town. ... headlamp right now because I couldn't see a thing. Probably the only time I would be caught wearing that. Haha. In order to get out of the cave it was a real steep slope with a chain to grab onto. I'm really glad I didn't pass this up because it was a once in a lifetime thing that I will definitely remember. ... After about 2 hours, we found the mountain house where we could use the bathroom and get snacks. That sure was a welcome sight!
