... which left a lot to be desired.
December 12
Pretty uneventful day: walked to the train station, took the 10-minute train ride to the airport, flights from Zurich to Gatwick, and Gatwick to Prestwick.
Just a side note of something that I think would only happen in Switzerland: when I put my MacBook into the security bin, the security guard asked me, “That’s it? You don’t have an ipad as well?” ...
Switzerland - Day 14
... aside with a call of 'watch out' as the children who had walked up were on their way down sledge style, oh and of course good ol Basel sprinting down the hill to chase his family. Luckily the clouds cleared away from one half of the Matterhorn so we were able to get a good view and photos.When we reached the bottom we had a nice little walk around the village and had a cup of tea and coffee, or cake in Petra's case in a little tea house in ...
Watervallen
Na het ontbijt gaan we de tent inpakken. Ik loop eerst nog even naar het sanitair. Daar zie ik het eekhoorntje weer. Nu is hij wat beter zichtbaar. Hij loopt heen en weer en gaat af en toe rechtop zitten en kijkt met zijn kraaloogjes rond. Zo schattig. Een meisje en ik blijven een tijdje kijken. Ze is ook Nederlands en waarschijnlijk net zoals ik niet gewend om eekhoorntjes van dichtbij te zien. Leuk leuk leuk.
Als we bijna ingepakt zijn krijgen we nieuwe buren. Een ietwat ...
BBQ and Talent Show
... Calum then delighted us with Hey Sole Sister on the Ukulele, followed by Will (Still dressed up), Joe and Dan doing a rap about all the tewit band members in 15 years time !!!!
Finally Owain (as an Austrialian), Sarah, Phil, Peter and Jacob performed their own comedy (with Alistair as the Alsase bird) sketch which brought the house down !
The Talent Show not living up to expectations, but exceeding them !
What an end to a fantastic day !
