Nothing is open at 9am so first stop was to the Tourist Bureau Office. Loaded with local knowledge we should be able to pick the best things to do on our other days. We headed up to Maritana Street to get photos of the old pubs - Exchange and Palace. At 10am the museum opened. We had planned to get a history lesson on Gold mining at the WA Museum. …

The next day (Tuesday) the local IGA was open and at last we were able to reprovision our larder. Nice to see fresh fruit and veg. Interesting owner who used to have a prawn boat at Exmouth but sick of the 20hr days and associated problems, so he moved to the opposite end of the spectrum. Koorda is well removed from a life ...

... we'd leave the casino and they gave me a tour of a bit of the city. We went to South Perth which has the best view of the city, especially at night, as you see the whole skyline and it's all lit up. After there, we went to Kings Park, which is a huge park, mainly based around a war memorial and it has a few different memorials, and is also a botanical garden. Also right next to it is there Parliament house. So we walked around both the Parliament house ...
