it's nothing special. The breakfast is simple, the rooms are noisy since there is a highway next to the hostel and because the floors in the hallway are tiled.

But it has a little pool, a nice common area and it is affordalble for Argeninian principles.

Actually got targeted for this place by an elderly man in the bus terminal and decided to give it a shot. Super convienent location to the bus terminal (2 minute walk), close to a supermarket (7 minutes), decent to downtown (10ish minutes), and quiet. The included breakfast was really just juice from concentrate, coffee from a vending machine, and sweet pretty old after just 2 days. But, helpful staff, clean beds and baths, wifi and computers, and deep discounts for the low season. I stayed in a 12-bed dorm for 50 pesos/night while the listed price is 70 or 75.

We are Quite Talented at Pedaling on a Tandem Bike

Yesterday, D and I arrived in Mendoza on the night bus (from Cordoba, about 9 hours), and after checking our exhausted selves into our hostel, we decided to rally and head for the vines. We'd heard about a great little place to rent bikes so you can pedal yourself from one vino bodega to the next. Naturally, after you've had a few copas, it's a ...

      Last Day of Spring Break

Today Jin and I got picked up at 8 to go up the mountains to go paragliding! I was sore from the day before, but still very excited to see what this experience would be like. It was just the instructor and an assistant who picked us up in a four runner to head only about 15 minutes outside of the city and to go only about 20 minutes up a mountai...

Mendoza Wine Country:Still Enjoying the Wine

Mendoza: Day Two, The Remise Tour of Upper Echelon Wineries 7-29-10 After day one bicycling through wine country in the Maipu area, Lucy and I hired a remise (a private vehicle with a driver/guide) for a day of touring at more expensive wineries, the type of wineries whose wines we could not afford to buy at home. The hotel recommended Jav...
