... must have been closed to keep lots of people from sleeping there. We had seen signs of people settling in for the night outside the locked gates. But it also seemed strange that the Metro wouldn't run all night. So into the new entrance and to the ticket kiosk.

... muffin" in Italian also however that's where the similarity ends. Italian version of a muffin....it was a chocolate chip muffin so it did have visible choolate pieces however when you put your dessert fork in the cake an explosion of chocolate lava oosed out. ... found the fruit and vegetable markets - but most stalls had packed up. There were lots of pigeons scavenging over the fruit and vegetables that were still left. I visited a church and inside there were wonderful displays of musical instruments - violins, lutes etc. I. Sunday 18 May Robyn: Feeling hungover and sad from too much 'dolce vita' and the reality of our last day in Croatia. Fortunately the hilltop fortified old town of Motovun (Central Istria) was a scenic drive down the road and we stopped in to climb the steep narrow cobbled streets, admire old buildings and soak in the views.
