... people. On Halloween we went to botellon which is a legal area outside where all Spaniards go before going out to a club to meet up and socialize. There are usually new people to meet and it’s always an experience! After we went to a dance club and danced the night away. Luckily most of the people were dressed up, even though dressing up as something funny or silly seemed perfectly acceptable.
It was a really fun night and the next day I got some ...
... work for us, and he tells us that no, he will just take us there. I insist that we do not want to pay 140 euros, so instead can he take us to the nearest Internet cafe. We find the number of the hotel at the internet cafe and call to see where they are. He tells me they are right outside Malaga. MALAGA?! THE WEBSITE SAID CADIZ! We are ******. I tell him we are not going to come, and can he please cancel our reservation, which is does (though he must charge us some of the reservation ...
Seville, Cadiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands deena.cowans... the hell I was and where the hell i was going to stay. I headed toward the Cathedral and went in because they were almost closing. It had very intricate work inside. Well worth it. The ceilings, the façades, the turrets. It was so well preserved, so of course I had a blast taking photos there. I rushed up the tower to see the view from the top, which in hindsight was a poor idea because I still needed water, but the view was well worth it. After going to the Mezquita, I went to ...

Seville, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands isabellew... the bridge to Triana to check out the apartment that the Spaish school rents out to students. We´ll stay there a month while we go to classes at LINC and then... who knows. In the afternoon we walked to La Macarena neighbourhood and went to the Museo de Bellas artes. I´m not a huge fan of historical paintings, but these were lovely. The works here are really spectacular. The next day we moved into the apartment and met a couple of others that are ...
Seville, Spain clandybar... city is really really big and confusing so walking is a good way to get my bearings. Today I booked two trips- one to Lagos Spain. That one will be basically about booze, beach and having a blast. The second is to Morocco. Slighly different than the first. I am gonna get to ride on a camel! It seems like it will be like nothing else. I am so excited! I am very happy here but I have to say I miss you all! Thanks for everyone´s messages, jokes and love. Miss you all!
Seville, Spain mwalsh86... and chime the regular chimes for the hour. Near the exit to the cathedral is an grand orange grove that was originally planted by the property's Muslim owners. Later in the evening I went off alone on a quest to find the monument to Kansas City. I must have walked 3 miles before finally coming to the statue. It was probably the least impressive statue ever. It had no inscription, no plaque, and you couldn't even walk up to it ...
Seville, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands ditchthecube... time (isn't it funny how all the palaces/fortresses are all named Alcázar?). THIS PLACE would be where I'd want to get married (in the distant future)! It was huge, with gardens on the second or third floor, and ancient scripture on some of the walls and amazing architecture. I could just imagine living here during ancient times. Once again, it has a mixture of Muslim and Christian architecture. Just wait till you see the pictures. When we ...
Sevilla, Spain ccarlini... we sat in the bar which was nearly empty and watched the last two quarters of the Patriot's game against the Jets. We got to the airport, but while I had thought my flight was at 7:10, it merely started boarding then and didn't take off until 7:50 or something like that. Even still, it was delayed a half hour or thereabouts, so we were there rather early. We waited in line for Virgin Atlantic only to be told that my carry-on was too big and so I had to check it, and then told ...
Sevilla, Spain catedoyle... receptionist/nurse told me to go in. I told the doctor what my symptoms were, that I had concluded that I had a sinus infection, and that I was allergic to most antibiotics so I had already gotten the name of one that has worked for me in the past. He looked at me blankly and said, "So why are you here?" I was kind of taken back, but I told him that I needed a prescription. Without saying a word, he wrote me the prescription I asked for and I walked ...
