          Good place for a backpacker.
Free breakfasts, free wifi, seemed clean enough. Bed was a bit rough to sleep on but it did the job.
          Great location.
Was noisy if you wanted to get a decent nights sleep. There's a bar underneath.

This hostel is really ok, rooms are clean, maybe a little small (difficult to get your luggage out of the way), bathroom clean, good hot shower. Lots of things to do, the Beaver Restaurant and pub is always very animated, Granville street is full of pubs, bars and restaurants. Very much young and fun, the perfect place to be on New Year's eve!! And, as for me, a very good breakfast!!

Service great, rooms and bathrooms clean, great location. Breakfast is fantastic, I filled up and didn't need lunch. There are activities every day including walking tours of the city.

Excellent hostel, rooms cleaned everyday, bathrooms checked hourly. Hot water always available for showers, hairdryer, good free breakfast that now included bagels. Staff are really helpful, rooms are safe, some of the lockers are broken but most are ok. They change the password to get upstairs everyday to make it extra safe. Organised trips available, good bar, meal deal everyday in the bar for under $5. Weekly and monthly deals available.

So I've discovered over the last 4 days that the world of work is tough.... Can I just go back to being a student and do it all again? I've done 8-5.30 this week and it's exhausting. The Canadian residents and medical students are expected to stay quite a bit later than that, but they don't seem to mind us leaving at what I consider to be a …

Arrived in Vancouver, I had to realise that there were way to many wasps for me:-/ slight panic!!! Recovered from the wasps, the next surprise was my sleeping arrangement. By accident I booked a couch in the leaving room instead of a bed room. Backache was already foreseen as it wasn't even a proper sleeping couch! Well done! Learnings out of this …

The medical part of our elective has started! We've spent the last 2 days in Vancouver children's hospital working with the neurology team. They are so friendly and lovely and the ward is really calm and chilled compared to the UK. But the main thing I've noticed is that doctors here are happy. They love their jobs and are passionate about medicine …

After a smooth 9hour flight where I got given the seat with loads of leg room and even the baby sat next to me was calm and cute, I made it to Vancouver for step one of elective. My only mission for the day was to find some cheap hair straightners and check myself into the hostel. The first thing I saw as I stepped off the sky train from the …
