This hostel is really ok, rooms are clean, maybe a little small (difficult to get your luggage out of the way), bathroom clean, good hot shower. Lots of things to do, the Beaver Restaurant and pub is always very animated, Granville street is full of pubs, bars and restaurants. Very much young and fun, the perfect place to be on New Year's eve!! And, as for me, a very good breakfast!!

Service great, rooms and bathrooms clean, great location. Breakfast is fantastic, I filled up and didn't need lunch. There are activities every day including walking tours of the city.

Excellent hostel, rooms cleaned everyday, bathrooms checked hourly. Hot water always available for showers, hairdryer, good free breakfast that now included bagels. Staff are really helpful, rooms are safe, some of the lockers are broken but most are ok. They change the password to get upstairs everyday to make it extra safe. Organised trips available, good bar, meal deal everyday in the bar for under $5. Weekly and monthly deals available.

    Vancouver Day 1 (21/07)

Not counting the half hour or so of yesterday we were in Canada, this is day 1 of Canada and Day 1 of Vancouver.

Well Canada gets a thumbs up straight away… Fish and Chips, by the sea. Perfect! Well almost, the chips were more fries than chips, but still it was nice. This was our first meal, an …

Las Vegas to Vancouver isn't necessarily a natural path to take, but in deciding our route while in Brazil, Junior Lewis and I had both wanted to take in the North West area on our trip. The one drawback of going to another country was that we had to face yet another interrogation at border control. This time around we were greeted by an unusually …

Vancouver airport is absolutely beautiful, there so many Totem poles, so many flags, a fountain and just very delicate details all of the place. Obviously I considered this a warm welcome to what I expected to be an amazing place, first impression right?! Shame about the border control... First impression - ruined. So after being questioned about …

    Beautiful British Columbia

So the next day, wanting to have a relatively chilled day before my Coach, I had a lie in then headed down to the Market for some food and to get a Final London Smog. Getting the bus was relatively easy, just turned up got my ticket and boarded, for Canada you don't need a visa so it was all very straight forward. While waiting for the Bus I was …

Woke up after a much better sleep. A combination of being bloody tired and a sleeping pill did the job as I didn't hear the crashing and banging of the toilet door at all last night.

After uploading a million photos on to my blog from the previous days exploits in Victoria, I headed out the door and walked down to Canada Place, the …
