The hostel is up quite a few flights of stairs which sucks when you have been out walking all day, though it does keep you fit. Rooms, toilets ect are more than satisfactory for a hostel. The location is great, though there are a lot of people that prey on the tourists on the Venice boardwalk which is right out front of the hostel.
The only real downside to this hostel is the staff. Simple things such not bothering to reply to small talk kinda dampens the place

After a busy day at work yesterday, and spending the afternoon and evening getting packed and sorted, Lachie arrived at our place at around 10pm.
We hung out for a bit and played with Hendrix before he went off for a snooze.

Los Angeles is a truly remarkable city. As I stepped off the plane by myself in a land far, far away, I only had a piece of paper with directions to the hostel where I would be staying for the next four nights. I was excited, nervous and extremely tired but it was the moment I've been waiting since I was a little kid. Everything is bigger than home …

    Red Eye to the Caribbean

We left the Inland Empire at about 6 pm, which is heavy traffic time, although less so for going towards L.A. The eerie thing about it was that there was relatively little traffic. It should have been bumper-to-bumper everywhere, but the freeways were nearly deserted. It was positively "freaky" as DD likes to say. We did the same ol' same ol ...

LA - Rodeo Drive and Magic Mountain
