The hostel is up quite a few flights of stairs which sucks when you have been out walking all day, though it does keep you fit. Rooms, toilets ect are more than satisfactory for a hostel. The location is great, though there are a lot of people that prey on the tourists on the Venice boardwalk which is right out front of the hostel.
The only real downside to this hostel is the staff. Simple things such not bothering to reply to small talk kinda dampens the place

We left the Inland Empire at about 6 pm, which is heavy traffic time, although less so for going towards L.A. The eerie thing about it was that there was relatively little traffic. It should have been bumper-to-bumper everywhere, but the freeways were nearly deserted. It was positively "freaky" as DD likes to say. ... There were some amazing dresses in the windows of Rodeo Drive which Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were in. Rodeo Drive was really short though and surprisingly not that fantastic....Cath and I got caught in a down pour of rain and dashed into a side cafe for some food whilist the down pour subsided. 2 Malls later we decided to head back, have a rest and then go out to dinner...we had booked a well known place ...Los angeles, California, United States savagestewart
