Lovely staff, clean rooms, air con works, free internet and pool table (with one missing ball ... ha ha ha). The entrance to the street where the hostel is is very smelly due to the food market (lot's of fish) but I feel this hostel is very good value for money at only $22 per night.

Saigon Backpackers Hostel 2 - Great staff, breakfast is good for included price, stayed for 1 week. Look for Dam at reception.

Super comfy beds and reasonably priced. The staff all speak good English and are eager to help. The common room has a pool table, flat screen TV with consoles and computers so it's a great social area.

If you want to new people and ur staying in Ho Chi Minh city this is a great place. They have 2 computers, a big flat screen tv for movie nights, comfortable and clean dorms with good bathrooms and breakfast included.

Only thing to note is there is a lot of crime in the area so please do not take anything you don't need with you but this has no link to the hostel. They helped me out a lot with the police report and paperwork

What a nightmare that overnight journey was.. I knew we needed to switch buses once we arrived in Phnom Phen from Sihanoukville.. However I did not think that once we were all loaded in the bus that we would need to sit there at the bus station for 4 hours not knowing why! From 1am to almost 5am we sat there not knowing why..

So we were the first international visitors to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in 2015 and the welcome reception was fanominal!! We had a free bag of goodies, music, paparazzi, tea, peanut brittle ... we felt like celebrities. So far my impression is that Ho Chi Minh city has everything you could possibly wish for and more and it is very cheap indeed …

On our first day in Ho Chi Minh City we explored the War Remnants museum, the Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the HCMC Museum. We found the war museum to be the most interesting as well as extremely moving and heavy with lots of shocking images of the war. After this full on day of site seeing, we regained some …

PS...I forgot to mention that there is some kind of karaoke bar or live music outdoor venue that we are hearing for the first time tonight. It is pretty loud and sounds like a lot of fun. We might wander over to find out where it is tomorrow night, if it is going on.

The first level tunnels to try had been enlarged to help the larger Western build. There were various exit (escape) points available at 15m, 30m and 70m. It doesn't sound far, but in the claustrophobic heat of ...
