Saigon Backpackers Hostel 2 - Great staff, breakfast is good for included price, stayed for 1 week. Look for Dam at reception.

Super comfy beds and reasonably priced. The staff all speak good English and are eager to help. The common room has a pool table, flat screen TV with consoles and computers so it's a great social area.

If you want to new people and ur staying in Ho Chi Minh city this is a great place. They have 2 computers, a big flat screen tv for movie nights, comfortable and clean dorms with good bathrooms and breakfast included.

Only thing to note is there is a lot of crime in the area so please do not take anything you don't need with you but this has no link to the hostel. They helped me out a lot with the police report and paperwork

On our first day in Ho Chi Minh City we explored the War Remnants museum, the Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the HCMC Museum. We found the war museum to be the most interesting as well as extremely moving and heavy with lots of shocking images of the war. After this full on day of site seeing, we regained some …

Ho Chi Minh city, the last leg of the amazing tour of Vietnam. Okay the Mekong was on the list but I had a buyer for the bike and had no idea about the volume of people that'd be interested in the piece of ****. I didn't particularly want to do a tour to the Mekong as it 1. Costs money and 2. Is a whistle tour (stop here, get on the boat, there's a …

... br> We are getting an early night as Trev has school and I have my cooking classes tomorrow. I have to meet the chef in the Ben Thanh market at 8:30 and have a feeling I might get lost.. as usual!

PS...I forgot to mention that there is some kind of karaoke bar or live music outdoor venue that we are hearing for the first time tonight. It is pretty loud and sounds like a lot of fun. We might wander over to find out where it is tomorrow night, if it is going on.

The first level tunnels to try had been enlarged to help the larger Western build. There were various exit (escape) points available at 15m, 30m and 70m. It doesn't sound far, but in the claustrophobic heat of ...
