... and waited. Nothing happened to me and the Czech was silent too, so I assumed it was the same for her. Then (it seemed like a long time later) I heard her breathing change and become a lot deeped. A few minutes later she started couging and then vomiting louder than I´ve ever heard anyone vomit in my life. This went on for some time and sounded like she was practically dying and spending so much time being sick that she had no time to breathe. Even when the Ayahuasca was ...

We got back to the hotel in Cusco, no time to rest though! We went out to a really nice restaurant called the Inka Wall (one wall of it is an original Inca Wall, go figure) This was pretty fancy, with a show and nice buffet. I got my appetite back and went a little nuts trying all the good foods. They staff came over and sang happy Birthday with a cake and ate the end they drop these big metal sheets and it gives you a heart attack if you dont know its coming, but that was a ...
Cusco, Peru strawberryk... rocks and "sacrificing" some food and Coca Leaves to Pachamama (the mother earth!), while taking a breather and absorbing the incredible scenery. At this altitude it was desolate, just snow and rocks with mist all around, much like that at Everest Base Camp. Nobody seemed to be struggling with altitude either which was nice, though it makes a big difference when you spend a few days at Cusco beforehand which is around 3000+m in itself.
Now it was more or less downhill all the way ...
... you could do to the Colca Canyon with a 3am start. It seemed it might be a bit of a trek with the long bus journey, early morning tour. It would probably take nearly a week out of our route southwards and we talked ourselves out of it. No next stop would be Puno and the Copacabana in Bolivia. We also managed to get some interesting information on our prospective journey to the salt lake Salar de Uyuni, Sucre, Potosi, and Tupiza. The club kept ...
Cusco, Peru casebrownfamily... Then at 11 we had a meeting with Daniel just to say hello and see if he had anything to tell us. The meeting went really well and we conducted it in Spanish, which was also good. He told us that we did a great job and that the company would pay for our work in the month of October. So, Jeff and I only have to pay $885 for our three months at MWC. He also said that he was talking with Mr. Devane about possible jobs for us in the next year.

... had come in and it was raining. I could appreciate the guy in his 60s sitting amongst this important historical point smoking a fag though - now thats dedication!
Then it was back down a few 100metres to the camp. Being cold, wet and knackered, at this point what you dream off is a hot shower and a luxourious bed - what you get is a squat toilet and a 1cm foam mattress! But we soldiered through!
Day three was easier, but ...
... bars for excellent cheap fruit juices. I was tempted to try these, but the sight of stray dogs lurking around the buckets of unwashed dishes made me hesitant to try the juices. I still had my large glass of orange fruit juice – but at a fruit shop near the main Plaza. I drank the freshest orange juice – enjoyed it so much that I visited the "bar" again for another glass. I eventually decided that my next stop on my trip would be ...
Cuzco, Cusco, Peru sonnat25... as I just didn’t feel like hiking fast at the time and just wanted to have some time to myself. It was humid and wet in the heavy, green rainforest. Fortunately, I had my rain poncho on, especially helpful during the downfalls that came again. But the rain poncho didn’t protect me from the mosquitoes!
Henry was a great guide. He was very passionate and knowledgeable guy and loved to talk about almost anything. He spoke to ...
