I got into Changi Airport, Singapore last night... Huge much. Once I made my way through customs and all that, I had to get assistance from a 3 year old kid in buying a MRT (train) ticket to Chinatown. The train itself isn't so bad once you are on it, it tells you all the forthcoming stops and which lines to transfer to etc. When I finally got to …

Singapur - so sauber und organisiert

A travel blog entry by patricia.eifler

Stopover in Singapore

A travel blog entry by andrew.mcdowell

Spent the last two days in Singapore not doing terribly much. Spent the first day getting a haircut in Chinatown (S$15) before walking around the shopping malls near Dhoby Gaut station. In the evening I caught up with Kannan to watch the Germany v Argentina World Cup game at a place called Chijmes. It was a pretty cool place, actually a church …

Singapore; our first asian adventure!!!

A travel blog entry by lou_james

Well, we had no idea what to expect from Singapore. Sally & tony had
stopped off on the way back to the UK and loved it, but it had been
very wet!

We arrived and made it to our hostel very smoothly. It
was basic but brand new, clean and pretty homely. Arriving around
dinner time we wasted no time in heading over to …

8 Bed dorm, with 3 blokes including myself.
Breakfast is toast (needless to say I'm going to get breakfast out) clean. A bit more pricey than I was aiming

So friendly, so clean and comfortable, so easy to find, such a great atmosphere! We went for dinner with Ali twice, he loves taking people out for food and he knows all the best places :-D not to mention a plethora of games, dvds, free internets and all day breakfast if you need to relax!

When I go back to Singapore I'm definitely staying here

The new Rucksack Inn building just a couple places up from the original... All new facilities and very clean. Stayed in a private 4 person dorm which had own aircon and tv, with comfortable enough bunk beds. For a backpackers i would give it top marks and would stay again! Staff are friendly and helpful :)
