(Sorry, I couldn't help myself with the title.) When flying to Sri Lanka, I was told at the airport that I had to show proof of an outgoing flight. Oops. ... balanced on the back, it is amazing what you can carry on the back of a motor bike. We saw some amusing sights including animals, furniture, families and large truck tyres etc. all packed with precision to transport from A to B. I think they had to take two tyres at a time to be repaired to balance the load on the bike, one on each side.

... I had taken a picture as the resulting liquid was bright purple and absolutely delicious. It tasted a bit like a blueberry smoothie but sharper. Henry and the Singaporean man agreed that it smelled like baby poo but I was too busy slurping it down to notice!

Next we tried the Singaporean version of carrot cake - this was not a success. According to the Singaporean couple a better version would have contained more carrot but what we got was effectively lumps of flour ...
