... 100 a night (£46). To get a cupboard in this great location costs a small fortune so this was a fantastic find and comes highly recommended!! It is a hostel so does mean we are sharing a bathroom with our neighbours (the only other private room that sleeps 3) Due to exhaustion we saw our bed and collapsed into a deep four hour nap! ... which was great because of my fruit beef kebab. Large pineapple chunks and marinated beef on a kebab is great. But very very spicy. My tongue wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for the sweet corn. With bright red faces we walked back down our alley, to Plush Pods and fell immediately to sleep. Far, Far Away... Shrek! Castle! Excitement! Maybe not. Ben & Jerrys! 4D experience! Can't complain. We had some icecream (very expensive icecream at that) and headed over to the castle for an rally good 4D experience. It was about rescuing Princess Fiona from Lord Farquard and, of course, making waffles. Josh bought a hat as he had a migraine due to the sun.

Leisurely walk through the malls to Bugis St and the MTR station. Caught the subway, then the bus to Jurong Bird park. Its quite a long way out of town.. 10 stations, maybe 30 km. Beautifully presented entrance .. colour matched orchid displeays. First event was a colour bird show featuring Macaws, hornbills, cockatoos and parrots very entertaining. Good fun. Kids loved it. Walked on through various fantastic exhibits. ...

South once more and a dawn ferry to Butterworth train station, before jumping on the train to Kuala Lumpur. The train made it all of 200 metres out of the station when the engine broke down and another had to be found from somewhere. An hour later we were on our way. Another nice enough train ...
