Day 2 - we took the tram and metro into Berlin, we had little in the way of information so headed to Alexandreplatz for a wander - we came out of the station and headed into the shop opposite, a department store similar to Harrods (not in price though I would guess), it was 135 years old and we only made it as far as the food area before we were sat down for Pizza in the Italian ...

... met Mike and Jen there. Lots of hugs and catch up, great to see them. We were introduced to our apartment, parted with some euros, and went off to see what all the fuss was about at the "wall" and Checkpoint Charlie. Really interesting, moving stories and fascinating pictures and information. Berlin is a very big construction zone, construction everywhere, apparently it has taken some time to get a consensus moving forward. ...

... because it's down a small sidereal that looks kind of like you are driving into a deserted park, but the campsite actually is super cute and only holds about 10 RVs, but also has about 6-7 old moblehomes (look like cute shacks on trailers) that people can rent. It's right on the river, where you can swim, and we've seen lots of joggers, cyclers and kayaks go by. We spent the evening cleaning the RV, depressed because our honeymoon adventure is almost over.
