... trop cher pour ce que c'est et surtout pour le service reçu. Si vous devez aller a Rio n'y restez pas plus que trois jours. L'inégalité est flagrante, 10 %25 de la population se partagent 50%25 de la richesse du pays, c'est normal alors que les gens sont frustrés et que tout le monde veut vous voler à tout prix, on a payé 5 jours à un prix scandaleux et après deux jours ...

... tourist attractions in Rio; Christ the Redeemer, our fifth wonder of the world together and Sugar Loaf Mountain.

On our trip up to Christ the Redeemer we started early and were probably the 10th tourists at the monument. This gave us a chance for some good snaps and also a little time to see how the others did it.

... a sunset anywhere. Exhausted but hungry a few of us went for a quick bite once we returned from the tour, then Flick, Joseph and I shared a taxi to take us to our new respective accommodation for the next couple of nights.

My final day in Rio was spent on foot and probably walked over 10k as I made my way from my hostel in the Botafogo area over to Copacabana, all the way down Copacabana Ave to the far end of Ipanema and then back all the way ...

... We then walked up the steps to the St Theresa area of the city. This is a quiet hilly area with cobbled streets and pretty houses. In the evening we went out for our last meal as a group. A few didn't come which was a shame. Took a while to find somewhere but we eventually found a nice restaurant with live music. There was a six-piece samba band who were very good. Back at the hotel we all cleaned up and dressed fancy for our scheduled Brazilian Steakhouse dinner at Porcao Rio. The salad bar and sushi bar at the restaurant were amazing! We got two bottles of red wine to share, including the official FIFA World Cup wine for next year. We were all slightly disappointed with the meat service. The meat was tasty but WAY too salty.
