Close to Escaderia Selaron, Lapa etc - great staff

I got a bit lucky here. They double booked the single room I had reserved, and gave me a double with its own bathroom for the same price. Great customer service. Aside from that, the staff were very friendly, and helpful. The location is convenient for Lapa, and transport for sights etc. Escaderia Selaron is a five minute walk too. Get there early and you can take photos without crowds. Breakfast was fairly bog standard.

This hostel was incredible. I stayed here for three nights. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The beds, bathrooms, and showers were very clean. The other travelers were some of the greatest characters I have ever met traveling. Was a little more expensive than other hostels but totally worth the few extra Rais for the location and friendly staff. Also, breakfast each morning was delicious. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rio.

The Easy Transfer from Ilha Grande on the 28th was just that. Getting picked up and dropped direct to your hostel in a big city like Rio is a big plus. Walking down to Lapa (5 minutes) to get something to eat on the first night, I already felt a bit of an edginess about the place. Around the bars and restaurants in Lapa it seemed quite safe.

... great graffiti paintings. Went out to Copacabana yest, which is a bit seedier than what I imagined it would be, the beach is beautiful, and huge!, like 4.5km long. But yo~īre constantly being hassled by guys selling everything from beach balls, buckets, towels, every kind of beach wear imaginable, as well as lots of different kinds of food and drink (they even sell shrimp), and even paintings. Its a horrible job, walking up and down that beach all day in 35c heat! Went down ...
