... was dropped here killing 20 children, a school has since been opened in this beautiful leafy square. Then I did the touristy Gaudi things in Barcelona. Firstly, La Sagrada Familia... One word, wow! For a church that has never been completed it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. ... were off. Some people tried to help us on the bus when all we knew was "Valencia Street" but they found it hard to answer our questions. Later we realised that Valencia street has about 6 stops and spans for about two miles, no wonder the confusion! ... head up to parc guell on the metro. It was beautiful, nice view of the city which didn't look so great from up there. Sat and enjoyed the view for a bit before heading to las delicias restaurant in Carmel for dinner. Lots of locals and lots of perros. The wait staff stood around smoking when it wasn't busy! Had some nice fish and ate too many patatas bravas- yum!
Took the bus and metro home.
Hot night with no breeze. But also no fumes from the restaurants ...
