I thought I should catch everyone up on our schedule for the next month or so. Beginning Sunday, Oct. 26, we'll be on cruise ships and will not have internet access. This means we won't be available by email, blog, or Skype for a while. We leave Barcelona on Sunday, Oct. 26, on the Norwegian Epic and sail to Miami. Here is our itinerary:

I was also struck by the fact that this wonder of architecture is in some ways so modern and many parts of it do not resemble the religious buildings of previous centuries like Notre Dame, but neither does it resemble the more modern buildings with their sleek designs which I think really sets the Sagrada in a class of it's own. ... kindly met us at 8:00 pm for a very early (by Spanish standards) dinner at the W hotel restaurant, which was spectacularly located on the beach. The evening's weather was unusual, with high winds and choppy waves. We arrived a little early to take photos and explore the hotel. ... it!! The timber, use of light, different sized windows and types of glass.... The man was brilliant!! The photos show a limited view of the building and don't show the feel at all. It sounds odd but the timber felt amazing. It was grainy and carved perfectly for the human hand. It was oak and perfect.
We spent well over an hour exploring the house then we scoffed at the over priced gift shop ...
