... amazing and we are still managing to stay ahead of the rain ..... yesterday was another hot day but the wind got up a bit in the afternoon. The rain arrives here tomorrow so we will be off North to Townsville which according to the latest weather map has no rain forecast for the next week ... bring it on .

That night was State of Origin. We were wearing all the gear to help the boys but unfortunately.
The next day we left Longreach, visiting the Longreach School Of Distance Education on the way to Alpha where we stayed that night.

... which was fun but hard work. Pulling the mast up took more effort than I thought! We eventually made it to the cove we'd be staying in for the night and they served dinner. The food was really good here, they had a peanut flavour curry with various sides. We washed it down with a few cups of the cheap wine but didn't stay up that late. ... stagnant and not looking good at all. Disappointing as was Wilsons Beach and Conway Beach which was a little farther down the road. Back to Airlie beach we continued onto Shute Harbour, where a lot of the ferry boats leave for Daydream, North Molle and South Molle Islands.
