        Good, but busy hostel

The hostel comes with a 24 hrs restaurant but still own kitchen facilities for the guests. To be fair it is poorly equipped. But there are so many nice, affordable restaurants in town, we didn't really make use of it.
Rooms were really warm, but one could hear quite some noise from outside the room.
Those who travel with Chalten Travel can enter their buses directly at the hostel and don't need to walk through the entire village (appr. 30 min. With huge backpack and small backpack).
All in all we enjoyed our stay in the Rancho Hostel.

The building is nice, and it's quite a chilled out place in terms of the atmosphere. I can't quite put my finger on why I don't want to score it higher though. Maybe, it's just that other places I stayed in recently felt more homely. Anyway, satisfied but not blown away.

Cozy hostel, good atmosphere. It's a great place to come back to after a long day hiking. They offer food and have bar, which is nice. The rooms and bathrooms are kept clean as well. Since it was high season, it was a little on the expensive side for a hostel (but it's nicer than most). Also, the internet is really slow and you pay to use the computers.

Very warm and cosy, however you do need to be thin to use the toilet.

We were fairly disappointed with the hostel. Its really huge and can fit well over 150 people and has only one very small kitchen and three semi working small fridges. Breakfast isnt included and the showers kind of work. In the evening youre lucky if you get a small stream of water and forget about hot water...Not worth the money!

Yesterday, I went to El Chalten with Sanne and Carolin (Belgian staying at the last hostel). At the national park office, before the bus carried on to the town center, we had a good view of Mount Fitzroy and four condors circling above, close by. After checking in and going back to the park office, we set off on a track to Largo Torres, where there …

We successfully caught the bus at said time from Lake Amarga and returned to Puerto Natales in the afternoon. After returning all our gear and indulging in pizza for dinner, we called it a night. The following day we caught a morning bus back to El Calafate and after a four hour stopover we caught another 3hr bus to El Chalten in Argentina.
