Cozy hostel, good atmosphere. It's a great place to come back to after a long day hiking. They offer food and have bar, which is nice. The rooms and bathrooms are kept clean as well. Since it was high season, it was a little on the expensive side for a hostel (but it's nicer than most). Also, the internet is really slow and you pay to use the computers.

Very warm and cosy, however you do need to be thin to use the toilet.

    Not worth the money

We were fairly disappointed with the hostel. Its really huge and can fit well over 150 people and has only one very small kitchen and three semi working small fridges. Breakfast isnt included and the showers kind of work. In the evening youre lucky if you get a small stream of water and forget about hot water...Not worth the money!

The time we went hiking in the mountains

A travel blog entry by binni on May 26, 2014

If we thought we were in the wild wild west before, we know we are now. We were commenting on this just after we arrived then I looked at my feet to the big rock I had been absentmindedly kicking and I realised it was a sheep skull! El Calafate is a small town in the middle of Los Glaciers National Park with a dramatic backdrop; a few hostels, …

    1/2 - El Chalten
I arried here at 21:30 immediatejy went to hear Ido about the carratera. He made a great show, telling it is for young people, not for us. Dina stays in another hostel, 1km away. She came here later, and we decided we have no other choice to go to the caratera
I stay in a lovely place - many Israelis and others.

    Hiking Capital of Argentina

One eighteen hour bus wasn't bad, but after two days strait of twelve hour rides, I was getting antsy. Even the multiple stops (which were said to be 20 minutes but were more like 35), didn't help. At about 9:00 pm on the second day on Ruta 40, we finally reached El Chalten. Good thing that it's the hiking capital of Argentina, because my legs …
