Another day in Adelaide, today was sunny but cool.. We took it easy this morning and then went into the city for a look around. Walked through Rundle Mall and the kids picked up some 'essentials' (more books & stationary). Overall a pretty easy day which ended with my crazy kids going ...

Daniel and Kate’s wedding was in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens at 11am. It was 23 degrees, sunny and still. To cut a long paragraph short, the weather was perfect, the bride looked amazing, the ceremony was light and comical and included the planting of a ‘miracle’ tree, and the reception was intimate and delicious ...

... right beside the river. We did a slight detour north next day as we wanted to visit Burra, an old copper mining town. We stopped in town for a wander and a coffee in an interesting coffee/book/vintage shop then drove around the old copper mines. Many of the miners were from Cornwall and the smelters all came from Wales, so all the streets have either Cornish or Welsh names still - well worth the detour. The Sturt Highway ...

I board the flight and when I get off I run straight to the luggage bit to grab my luggage to then run through the airport to the check in desk to try and board my flight. ... admit that shopping and being able to cook again is a real treat!

Our next stop along the way was Anglesea for lunch. We pulled over and made some good old sandwiches and found a bench along the water to enjoy the breeze while eating. I have to say there is nothing better than being on the open road and in charge of where you stop, eat, and sleep (a welcomed change to all my long bus rides in Asia).
