I'm in the desert now.
You know funnily enough I have been an Australian all my life, I pride myself on being an Aussie and can say that I have seen more of our beautiful land than most.
Well I was wrong!
Now that I have ridden through this part of the country it is only now that I can really give it the appreciation that it deserves.
You know that the trip …
Mining, but not as we know it
In Coober Pedy, the primary industry is 'noodling' for opals. With such importance set on the profit from these stones, every single store owner was giving us the hard sell, …

Living in an underground cave is pretty cool, if only I could stop myself from storing food in my cheeks ready for the winter- it pays to be prepared!

The hostel is nice enough, but the old fella working the reception turns into a right knob when you ask him any question (only answer: okay, just go somewhere else). Okay for 1 night.
