      Comfy Stay

Great little hostel in the San Telmo area. It was close to all the tourist attractions for our needs and you could either eat out nice or grab a delicious empanada around the corner. The staff are helpful and dorms and beds comfy. Just hope you don't get a bed with a plastic sheet underneath as it makes a noise every time you move! Simple breakfast yet effective.

My Sunday trip with John's friend

A travel blog entry by emily26 on Dec 07, 2014

So today is Sunday. It has started very rainy and not very nice. It isn't cold but pretty heavy rain. I decided to find somewhere to go inside. I wanted to go to the famous San Telmo market that happens on Sunday but it was raining so hard not much was out. I instead went to the museum of modern art 'MAMBA' it was really cool. I liked the modern …

      Buenos Aires .... Once Again

After taking considerably longer to get from Montevideo to Buenos Aries we arrived in the dodgy area La Boca just as it was getting dark. We tried to get a bus but we came across no friendly drivers willing to take us without travel cards. It's rather frustrating here that they will not take cash on the bus, thankfully though sometimes a kindly …

As we had already visited BA before, getting ourselves to our hostel was easy, we knew where the metro was and where to go. After sorting ourselves out at the hostel it was a quick dash out of the door to find an Optician to finally get Chris some new glasses. Luckily we were able to get a copy of his prescription sent to us from Australia and we …

      Beautiful Buenos Aires

... so give it a miss and sleep in longer. Although breakfasts are included, it is meagre, and not worth getting up for, so I wait for lunch.

Anyway I think Ive rambled on enough about Buenos Aires, so apologies for that. I can highly recommend it tho, and plan to one day return. ...
