The first night we stayed at Prague Square Hostel for 300 Kuna a night each (12.00 euro). Despite one of the worst directions to get there that I have literally ever experienced in my life, the hostel was quite good. Big common area, Wi-Fi, lockers etc, and a luggage room that we used until 7pm the next evening!

It is crazy to think that only a few days ago I was in the Czech Republic. It's even crazier to think that my sister came with me and then spent the rest of my spring break with me in London. It was so good to see her and also travel with her! Mad props to A for getting to London one night and the next morning getting on another 3 I mean 1.5 hour …

      Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp

... the work camps, as opposed to being sent to the death camps. It's hard to believe that only 60 years ago, one person or one small group could do so much damage. Our tour guide said to us, that they do these tours and keep the concentration camps available to the public, partly for education and also for the hope that this will never happen again. But unfortunately it has, like in Rwanda and that was less than 20 years ago. I guess it makes you question ...

... it was an Italian wine. I never did try any Czech vintages.

Grabbed the tram to investigate the grocery store. Grocery stores are a great money saving tip. Many stores, this one included have delis and even hot roasted chickens for purchase. I found that one of the managers was watching me. I wondered if he'd never seen someone wander through the store, picking up things, turning the over and then setting them back down. I said ...
