I can see why the Brits love to come to this place as it is very beautiful and it's reputation as a party place is probably unfair as it has a lot more to distinguish itself than that. It's relaxed for the most part except in the main streets and there are little bazaars and courtyards everywhere with the usual street vendors but no one pesters you greatly. We had such a fun day in Barcelona! I can't believe John likes it so much! He loves our hotel room. It is incredibly cute--quirky, but very cute! The bathroom doesn't close all the way, you have to put a key in the door to turn on the lights, every square inch is Pepto Bismol pink, the bed is hard as a rock, but it has 24 hour beer and wine on tap and snacks 24/7 also. After my connecting flights via Dubai and Barcelona, I arrived in Palma de Mallorca. Wow, it truly is beautiful! I took a taxi to Hostel Ritzi, where I stayed for the first 4 nights. ... remember we did have a Sangria last night! After lunch we had another wander around the Cathedral and Palace areas, where there were lovely gardens and fountains. Nowhere in the world, I'm sure, has as many fountains as Spain. I think they do it intentionally to provide a cool haven in a hot, dry climate.
