Prague, definitely a place to Czech out ;)

I knew Prague was going to be awesome the moment we got off the bus, little did I know just HOW awesome it would be...

We arrived at the hostel mid-afternoon to smiling faces, refreshing drinks being handed out as we stepped off the bus, and being pleasantly surprised when we realised that we had been upgraded for free to a six bed dorm …

After visiting so many western European countries it was now time to venture to the first of our “eastern” European countries, the Czech Republic. We stayed in the capital Praha, or more commonly known as Prague. I wasn't completely sure as to what to expect from Prague but it was a wonderful surprise. Although a member of the European …

Hour of Power and an Amazing Surprise- Thursday 17th July

Sadly saying goodbye to Isabell and Olaf we hopped onto our Busabout bus and ventured onto our next stop, Prague. I honestly didn't know a whole lot about Prague apart from fellow travellers saying it was quite a party town and was also relatively cheap due to the conversion to …

Lucky this morning we had an 11am start. Scotty missed it. Somehow he manages to get drunk with us every night and still make it to where ever we need to be at 730 and give the tours. Today he showed up at 11:10 with shirt inside out and very hung over. As punishment he had to leave the shirt as was and had Pinesey for the day. Somehow I managed to …

Bus time again! Up on the bus by 8am. On the way out of Berlin we shopped off at the Berliner Wall Eastside Gallery for a quick photo opportunity. Then it was back on the bus to Prague. Along the way we saw so many fields of canola flowers, they were everywhere.

The plus Prague is a decent hostel. 4 bed dorms with private bathrooms and big rooms is good. Wifi, pool, sauna, bar, etc is also a plus.

Initially in the female dorms with a towel, shampoos and hair dryer which is handy! A very large hostel. The restaurant was great at making gluten free meals however there were no kitchen facilities again making it awkward making our own meals.

Our room was freezing because the heat didn't work. The staff was great though and gave us heaters and extra blankets. However, the cleaning was subpar. I stayed in the sister hostel Plus Florence thinking it would be as clean...It was not.

In looking for a place to stay I quickly realized why so many people like going to Prague and what they meant by it being so cheap. There were quiet a few cheap places to stay, but I picked this hostel because I stayed in there sister location in Florence and because they had a pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed for work, maybe next time. The staff here were very friendly and made me feel welcome. They actually had someone on staff that brought people each day to the downtown meet up place for free city tour. There were some bus tour groups that came through here but it wasn’t that bad or noisy in the halls because of it. The internet was just slow when everyone was inside using it. They also had a shuttle bus that cost a little but it got me to the airport without having to lug my bags around the airport.
