We had a private room that was just renovated! The facilities were amazing. Location is perfect! Only down fall in the air conditioning, which barely worked. But other than that, it was a great place to stay on a budget!

For having never before stayed in a Hostel, I was satisfied with my experience. While I thought it to be slightly over priced (at the end of Aug) now that I see what other Hostels actually cost in Europe, I don't regret staying here. The rooms were clean and the view was spectacular! Who could complain about being able to see the Duomo from outside their window or from the rooftop bar. It was a fabulous first experience in Florence.

We stayed at Fish Hostel which was incredible. We did pay 20.00 euro each a night which wasn't easy to swallow, especially coming towards the end of the eurotrip, but with a pool, massive bar, sauna, awesome restaurant and amazing rooms you really good go no further.

      Florence for Five Days

A travel blog entry by wheretonext1988 on Nov 15, 2014

Florence is said to be the oldest renaissance city in Europe.

I arrived on Tuesday evening. That night, I didn't do a great deal except chill out and talk to the other girls in my dorm room.

On Wednesday, I got up and started my first day of Florence. To be honest, the day was spent at a rather relaxed pace and working out what to …

I made it to Florence and saw things and stuff but I'm in Rome right now and lazy so this will be done later. Rome while annoyingly big has some amazing sights 10/10 would recommend, more to come another day.

Florence was a great city and evidently I should have written this up sooner as my memories as to what I did exactly aren't nearly …

Our next destination on our trip was the Tuscan capital, Florence. Famous as the birthplace of the Renaissance, and home to many famous creative geniuses throughout history this medievalesque city has earned Florence a reputation as one of the best cities in Italy. Florence is also home of gelato and the Florentine steak (which if I had 50 euro to …

Today I went on a Tuscany tour, which is basically a wine tasting tour. I met some really nice girls, drank some really nice wine and saw some really nice landscapes. Yesterday, I went to two museums, the Uffizi and Accadamia Art Museums. I saw just how much Renaissance artists were obsessed with penis's and boobs as I spent hours and hours looking …

Over the last few days I've got myself really down in the dumps caused by WACOT. Saturday began as a travel day. Bus, train, then another long walk to my hostel. But the hostel wasn't open. I called the number from Hostelworld and the owner said that the reception doesn't open until 9pm. 9pm!? As it was 12 pm I said I was cancelling my booking and …
