There are a lot of restored houses in the old town which are all small museums. ... about 15 of them but we only went to see two. The tombs were inside angular flat topped hills and I never realized Thracians built mini-pyramids for their tombs. One had 6 rooms and the occupants were buried with their treasures and in one a horse was placed in the corridor ready for their journey to heaven. What was very surprising was how dry the rooms were inside. They were made with massive slabs of granite, ...
