... a few years. It once had over 300 monks...today it has only 8! Also during the communist period, many precious silver and gold items were taken to Russia.... never to be seen again. (The Russians have refused to return anything.) We took in an Orthodox service that evening. I got up early and watched the monk complete the call to prayer and watched part of the service.
