and told her thankyou in mandarin. She brushed off my poor linguistics and
continued to maintain her place in the line. Fortunately the woman behind us
was just as agitated and jumped to our rescue. We aren’t sure what she said,
but from her tone, the gyst of it was probably something along the lines ...

in a cab and headed back to the hotel. Olga found out breakfast was not
included in our stay and became extremely agitated. Her and Sean had breakfast
included and wanted us to join them. When we got the lobby, Olga put her front
desk hotel reception face on and convinced the hotel staff to throw in free
breakfast, a 350 yuan add on to our already great stay!

of them, but he motioned for us to stand beside his father so he could get a
picture of us. It seems that some local Chinese outside of big cities do not
encounter “westerners” and when they do, love getting pictures taken with them.
It would be like us going to say any foreign country or exotic land and having
our picture ...
... trip together. My leaving has become a frequent conversation between the two of us and I thought this might be a nice talisman of our adventure. Brace yourself though--it's pretty long and, well, film production is not a future career choice.
