    .Wonderful place

This hostel is the perfect place to stay in Cusco. The staff couldn't be friendlier. The house has so much character and feels ike a proper home. The location, just a couple of blocks from Plaza de Armas is great, though it's a good hike uphill. It's also close to Saqsaywaman ruins which is a hike uphill, but a quick return. We staid in Camillo's room for a couple of nights and in Luna. Both were lovely. Only criticism would be that the beds are a little hard. The communal area is very comfortable and breakfast tasty. We staid two nights before and two nights after the Inca Trail. They looked afer our bags which were in our room when we got back. This is definitely the place to stay in Cusco and I'd got back.

    Perfect stay in Cuzco

We stayed here for 10 days and it was absolutely wonderful. The location right above the main square is perfect - though it is a bit of a hike which leaves you breathless with the altitude the view from the roof top is great. The rooms are cozy, clean and warm. The area where breakfast is served also doubles as the internet room with about 4-5 computers. There weren't many people staying there at the time we were there so it felt like we had so much of the place to ourselves which was lovely. It is also very central to restaurants and little shops that sell everything you need to prepare for the Inca trail. It is also on the way to Saksayhuman which was a bonus.

We flew into Cuzco and it has been yet another one of the absolute highlights of our trip. The town of Cuzco itself is incredibly characteristic and retains a great deal of it's elegant Indigenous culture and pride which is what makes this place so special. Being one of the highest capital cities above sea level in South America, I came prepared …

The flight from Lima to Cusco was less adventurous than the drive to Lima airport. But the landing approach was something special. It felt like the pilot was searching for Cusco airport through the mountains and eventually we landed.

Cusco airport was tiny so it didn't take long to gather our bags and find a taxi. Our hostal, Piccola …
