At ten minutes past the time the real fun begins. Arguing old people are my favourite. You can't hear what they are saying but as they stride along the gangway they would be saying "I told you the bus would not come in time", or "I knew it was more than a five minutes walk" or "why you queued all that time just to buy that stupid straw donkey I'll never know."
And now we reach the serious stage of the race. It is now twenty minutes ...
... the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. Wade and I told the boys - we are doing six nights there, but we will probably want to leave after one or two.
Once again, the kids learned that their parents can be wrong. Very often and very wrong.

... a 7-45 take off and were still sat there at 7-50. Sorry says the Captain, it took us a bit longer to de-ice the wings than we expected. That’s OK Cap, we don’t want to make a mess of doing that job do we? Then a further delay whilst the Cap tells us that Ringway air traffic control have brought in low visibility manouevering restrictions due to the fog. That’s fine, it’s an A320 not a dodgem car. Eventually we take off 40 minutes late ...
... now until after Christmas - looking forward to our M&S tinned cured turkey, tinned new potatoes, tinned carrots and tinned peas! At least we have mince pies (although Mr Kiplings are no where near as good at Mrs King´s!!!). So we´ll leave you for now.
