... was a lovely evening. And it was a steal of a deal, our balcony seats cost us about 18 euros each. First thing Sunday morning we went to the bus station to buy our return ticket.  From there, we went to the Jewish quarter.  Before Hitler, Prague had a thriving Jewish population, mostly relegated to a small section of town.  There are still some ancient synagogues and the cemetery in the quarter, as well as the old town hall.  It was a ...

So this past weekend I went to Moravia. The Czech Republic is divided into two sections, Moravia makes up the South Eastern part while Bohemia consists of the North Western part. Prague is the capital of the Bohemian part, while Brno is the capital of the Moravian part. The two get along but they are apparently competitive with one another.

... as we made our way. I also found the control panels on a few of the cars and examined them, interested by the Czech labels. We even snuck into first class and enjoyed the air conditioning temporarily. I loved the view from the last train as well as the tracks stretched behind us.

... which when I think about the crime that's here it sort of scared me into the 100% safe zone. Going out during the day was enough for me and I never did anything alone, even walk to the store next door for water or something. I didn't feel threatened here but I also didn't want to be lenient with my safety in a city that supposedly has a pretty high pickpocketing rate.
Despite all of that though, Prague really is beautiful ...


This hostel, located in the Praha 11 area of Prague, is near Vysehrad National Cultural Monument, Zizkov TV Tower, Letna Park, and Ledebour Garden.
