Good location - a short walk from the plaza, restaurant and large supermarket. Nice, cabin-esque room with clean shared bathroom facilities - good shower. Friendly atmosphere with helpful staff who can help plan your time in Pucon. Standard breakfast, could be improved. Good place for a lie in as no-one in the hostel or in Pucon seems to stir before 10am!

Dave and Greg made this hostel stay amazing - evening bonfires and BBQ's, super helpful with recommendations and booking tours - this is a must stay in Pucon!

... it was awesome but not fast enough, even though I'd been worried it would be too fast. Most people also had a plastic disc to slide down on but unfortunately they'd forgotten mine, so instead one of the guides gave me his ski to hold on to so I whizzed down - so much fun! I returned to the hostel with a big grin on my face and am so glad I did it for me and Ash! In the meantime he had spent most of his day on the black sand beach by the lake, unable to lie in the ...

... comedy gold. One was like watching an old lady try to ride a bike for the first time, leaning further and further to one side, before throwing the bike from under herself, in slow motion, and then rolling into a bush; arms and legs waving in the air, like an overturned turtle). By my fifth or sixth fall I was not enjoying myself at all and just wanted to get off this stupid mountain. My hands were all shaky and it as getting harder and harder to get back on the ...

... Although my disregard for the slow down signal really seemed to upset one of them, but I always stopped in time. The views were not epic as they were with rafting, but it was fun.

We returned, got another mandatory 1USD empanada and then trekked back to the hostel to collect our things. We toured the town, window shopped and then returned on the night bus, vowing to come back in the better weather to climb the volcano. ...

... so we began are 5 hour climb to the top. We had the option to take a gondola ride a quarter of the way up but that wasn't what we wanted. Our only interest was to climb this monster top to bottom! Making are way through the rocky base, the first two hours were steady, easing are way into the climb. upon sunrise we were presented with excellent views, with a shadow of the volcano falling into the hills to the right. Soon after the winds picked up and ...
