    A cosy abode...

Good location - a short walk from the plaza, restaurant and large supermarket. Nice, cabin-esque room with clean shared bathroom facilities - good shower. Friendly atmosphere with helpful staff who can help plan your time in Pucon. Standard breakfast, could be improved. Good place for a lie in as no-one in the hostel or in Pucon seems to stir before 10am!

Hanging off the side of a volcano-mountain

... of your misery now and to stop you thinking that i am a hero, I can tell you now that i didnīt make it to the top. I got halfway up which i think is pretty respectable, I climbed 1290 metres in all. This is not the same as walking or hiking 1290m as you are forever doing zig-zags to safely traverse up the mountain. It took about 3hrs; while i wasnīt happy that i didnīt make it to the top, i was satisfied with how far i had got. Particularly as i was scared for about 90% of ...

... to get certified to teach Hatha Yoga (cómo yo), is pretty awesome. And when you speak somewhat of another language and can talk about something of which you are both so passionate, cómo yo y yoga, the conversation flowed. It was a wonderful day. We decided to do something again today together. Off we went to the natural hot springs, heated of course by the active, yet dormant nearby volcano, Volcan Villarica. And then something very interesting ...

... all that and some gravel sliding we made it back in time for victory beers and empanadas in town :). That was the main event in Pucon. We had other , options but chose to just enjoy the town and the views due to weather and energy levels before embarking on the next bus hop south to Valdivia. Shout out to the loud mouthed Kiwi who kept us up three nights running with his pointless observations on the state of the world at 3am, you probably changed so much with your words. ...

... climb, and really steep, but a scorching
clear day and the views down were incredible – Pucon is on a big lake and it
was so picturesque. The top of the Volcano eventually came, we had made it to
2,800 metres! Had to have a quick lie down to give my shaky legs a rest – I
really struggled with the last bit as it kicked up and got even steeper, and the guide just kept saying, ‘5 more
    minutes, then we rest’ ...
