      A cosy abode...

Good location - a short walk from the plaza, restaurant and large supermarket. Nice, cabin-esque room with clean shared bathroom facilities - good shower. Friendly atmosphere with helpful staff who can help plan your time in Pucon. Standard breakfast, could be improved. Good place for a lie in as no-one in the hostel or in Pucon seems to stir before 10am!

People were ploughing in to each other, spinning round and generally going like
rockets, but it was fantastic – we were battered and bruised but grinning like
      loons at the bottom.

We all decamped to a German bar next to the shop when we got
back for some well deserved beers, and it turned in to a totally boozy night –
we were all so chuffed with the day that we just decided to go for ...

... is big both in the lakes and surrounding streams as well. For those of you who want to say that you've skied on an active volcano there is also a ski resort on Villarica, though I've heard the actual skiing isn't anything cool. Another way to see the volcano is to get yo' crampons and pick axes and hike to the summit (weather permitting) and then you get to sled your way down.

      But I only had a weekend and I ...

So Sunday was spent relaxing before my bus in the evening to Santiago. I arrived in Santiago at 8, then got a bus at 9 to Pichilemu. Its a bit colder here, but only because its windy. Will start surfing tomorrow, very excited. The sea is so cold! Just gotta keep moving.....
