What a great place this is - suitable for families as well as backpackers, groups and individual travelers. The staff were mega friendly and if we ever go back to Berlin again, this place will be our first choice.

Swimming pool, restaurant, bar, laundry, free wi-fi, fun staff - what more do you want?

(Beds were a little creaky, other than that a great stay!)

Tuesday Arrived on the overnight train from Munich. We did a bike tour of Berlin, to see some of the sights and learn about the history. We stopped for lunch at another beer garden, before continuing on. We walked over 1/2 just to go to a gf cafe that I'd read about, only to get there and they had just shut - they let me buy some cakes so a small …

We stayed at a different type of hostel than we normally did, this one was more like a big hotel. Quickly after finding our room we met a very flamboyant Fin who informed us that we had arrived just in time for the yearly pride rally …

Our first city was Berlin. Our room had a bunk bed and I got to sleep on the top. We went out and bought done delicious waffles. I had one tiny bite of my waffle and …

After having a not so fun departure from Hamburg I got to Berlin. It took a bit of time to find my way to my hostel since there was work being done on the main S-Bahn line that I would have normally taken. I got to the hostel a bit before check-in so I grabbed some schnitzel from a recommended place nearby and then got settled. After figuring out a …

... Tor – another 'free’ tour guide. There were about 150 people waiting to do the free tour. They spilt the groups up to smaller groups (thank god – imagine one tour guide with 150 ppl following!). Our tour guides name was George. In his 20s from the states and man was he energetic and a laugh and a half. He took us through most of the main attractions in Berlin, told us some good ...
