While in San Sebastián we have slotted in like locals...enjoying txikiteros (bar hopping and tasting the pinxos), riding a bike round town, which is so easy as it is flat and has 52km of dedicated bike paths and no end of fabulous street sculptures, museums, parks and beaches.

Over 1400 METERES of ascent ! Over 47 mph on the way down . 54 miles in total . 107.4 degrees . A serious days work ! Checked into a hotel my perfect wife booked for me at about 11 pm and through up straight away after downing a bottle of coke ! Gonna try to take it easy today . Heading for la pauela de argonzon about 35 miles south west of here . Speak soon ...

San Sebastian would have to be about the most perfect spot for a holiday with the lot.
Sun, sand, surf, shopping, historical buildings, majestic views, fine and interesting foods and close (relatively) to other European delights. All without the crowds and prices of other more popular European resorts.

We spend the day walking, eating, exploring and sunning on golden sands.

This would have to be a place to revisit at another time.

... sun, reading our books and swimming. It was paradise. Brendan especially, is loving the sun here, as even he can lay out all day and not get burnt. Miracle! We thought we better work on our tans as best we can, before we head to Scotland and lose it all.

Following the instructions to a tee we eventually found Olgas place. Literlly Olgas place. Her and her husband, Raffiel converted their apartment into a 5 dorm hostel. Raffiel, who can only say 'how you going' in English stays the night for security.Turns out we were the only girls staying there. Alongside 5 Aussie guys.
