... to have a ride in a Hagglund, which is a vehicle a bit like a tank used to drive on the ice and through snow. The driver took us up and down steep hills and even proved to us this beasty truck could float by driving into a waist-high puddle. After killing some time with a compulsory cafe stop we made the short walk back to the airport, where we decided we should probably start planning our Fiji trip, as we hadn't booked anything before then. ...

The film, The Railwayman was moving in parts; the true story of a chap suffering from what is now called post traumatic stress disorder following internment in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. With a stellar cast including Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth it somehow lacked something. ...

... floppy when it's rains? It cost $5 million to build which caused a massive uproar from locals however it is the only cardboard cathedral in the world. I bought Nan a postcard from the cathedral shop as I know she'll be interested to see it however I've got to hold on to it until I get home as the last postcards I sent to my house from Australia didn't get there. There's someone on my estate at home who has received 2 postcards and hasn't been bothered ...
