Not yet done with sun and beach, but over shitloads of retired Americans, we headed to Sayulita beach on the mainland, a place that had been recommended to us by a couple of others. After an 8 hour overnight bus journey I arrived in Peurto Vallarta at 7 am. It should have been one more short bus journey to the hostel but due to my lack of Spanish skills it ended up being 2 and a taxi!

30 minutes after arriving at the hostel I was on my way to the beach for a boat tour with some new friends! The tour included snorkelling, lunch, a waterfall, free bar and entertainment on the boat in the form of drinking ...

... slowly deflating. There was this cool starfish which crawled over my arm as well. The highlight was seeing a turtle, I had never seen one before and it was cooler than I ever expected. I would definitely recommend trying to see a turtle in the wild one day. They don’t flap, nor do they glide, instead they just fly through the water.
There were only two of us left at the hostel (swine flu) so we just hung around drinking.
