... poorly and although we all made it to Manley Ruth had to go back early. James and Tom walked all round the Head and swam in the Pacific- the beaches were closed and the surf was up- Ruth was really sick to choose to miss it. After an afternoon in bed Ruth was well enough to go to the Opera.

There was a frost this morning so a bit nippy packing the car. After breakfast we had a chat with Paul, the property owner, who told us there was snow further inland. We were on the road

... 1/2 hour telling us the story of the standout bottle of wine, a 2 litre bottle of Penfolds 170, which was for sale, in its own temperature controlled box for a meagre $65,000, delivered to your door. He them started to tell us his life story to Roy and I had to drag him away before he got his credit card out. Not much else to do but wander around & wait. The plane is here at least, just need to get us on and going, Cheers ...

... plenty of families were taking advantage of this fact, us included, the grandchildren hadn't been on a ferry before so this was another new experience.

We had dinner at Manly at a fantastic restaurant called 'Criniti's', have a look at Merv's burger, 750g of meat!!!
Two train rides later, short drive home , four tired adults.....3 energised little ones!!!
And one very happy, spoilt birthday girl...
