From Hue we took our first internal flight to Hanoi.
Unfortunately, our welcome here wasn't especially warm, weather- and otherwise. Apparently we annoyed the hotel tout so much by not coming with him that he half-heartedly drove into me with his motorbike and slammed Craig with his clipboard Craig on the head. Not amused at all.

I woke up to free time, and four of us decided to go and have a massge. We chose Vi Spa, which pay for the cab from your hotel, very nice! I went for a 90 minute synergy massage which cost me 650,000 dong, which is just over 20 pounds. My masseuse was called Lang and she started the massage by standing on me! It was amazing! ... if they smoke. Often when they do stop it’s by a crusty street food stall labelled a ‘restaurant’ with a few plastic chairs and more flies around their food than the toilet. I think I’ll stick to pringles and cheese sandwiches.

... of 15 (3 Canadians, 1 American, 1 Aussie and the rest of us British). We all went out for dinner at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant and got to know people. The group is a nice mixes of ages and people seemed to get on well over dinner.
We go to Halong Bay tomorrow which is one of the highlights of the trip as we stay on a junk boat overnight. As we will not have wifi for a few days, it will probably be Thursday before we post anything again.
