Very clean, fresh and well laid out. Friendly staff and free food are always plus points but the large scale felt a bit strange

Free dinner was actually quite nice if you were there on time. The movie room is also nice. It is a bit expensive but it's a great spot in Queenstown

We stayed too nights . room 323 was great . Room 315 was ok with a nice balcony but with a terrible matras. The staff was very nice. They had a good place for our bicycles. Otters guests are all young. The free meals and breakfast were good

Great Location & good value for money

We stayed in the self contained ensuite rooms. They are new, clean and big, with shared terraces. Great location right in the centre. Wasn't too noisy as the ensuite rooms are on a separate floor from dorms. They do dinner 5 nights out of 7 in the communal area though we didn't partake, they also do toast & cereal in the mornings. Good staff to help you book all the crazy, fun things in Queenstown.

Cleanest place I've stayed

Awesome hostel, very clean, great beds (though we were in a 3bed private so not sure about dorms). Every amenitiy you could wish for and more, brilliant location and great staff, they're very friendly and helpful!
Only gripe is the size, i generally prefer smaller places, they feel more homely and are easier to meet people.
But would definately recommend and would stay here again if returning to Queenstown!

Today we ventured up to Coronet Peak for our second day of boarding. We jumped on the steeper slopes today, and it was windy as hell; but again, I survived.

After our very short overnight stay in Wanaka we are off already to Queenstown. Before leaving town, we are taken to Puzzle World, which is a very well done compilation of illusions, puzzles and even a maze! Perfect for a light hearted warm up to the day. Next stop is almost in Queenstown, as we stop at the world famous Kawarau Bridge Bungy, by AJ …

This morning we are due to set off to go skydiving!.. However we both slept through our alarms! After rescheduling the jumps for leaving at 1.30, we set about doing a few jobs after an enjoyable lay in and read, making the most of a relaxed morning. It only takes an hour to get back to Wanaka, driven by a very boring man who refused to stop talking …

After a failed attempt at booking a last minute ski deal for today, we decide to kick back and enjoy a lay in for once, not leaving the room until 11am. We head into town for a wander, then walk around Queenstown gardens which is really enjoyable, with stunning snowy mountainous scenery! On our way back to the hostel we can't resist to stop off for …

Queenstown, the party capital of New Zealand and world renowned for extreme sports, adventure and its beauty... I visited Queenstown twice and unfortunately it rained, and just when I thought it was going to brighten up it rained again both times I was there! Although it stopped me from parasailing, I did manage to experience the amazing party …
