We stayed in this hostel for one night prior to taking the Northern Explorer to Wellington.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
We had an en suite room which was very clean and comfortable.
Security was good with access using a card.
Lovely big kitchen on 7th floor and a hot tub on the outside space on 7th floor.
Only downside was the noise from the clubs on the street. Noise went on all night and clubs still going when we left at 8 a.m.
    Hostel offers free earpplugs.
    Would use this hostel again.

Terrible hostel! Too many people, tiny & smelly rooms, the kitchen is a mess with no space in the fridge and downstairs is a noisy bar. At it's not even THAT cheap. Can't recommend, sorry!

Greetings once more. New Zealand so far is treating us very well and has already lived up to expectations. It is indeed spectacular wherever you go, as we discovered on our little road trip last week. Although I am writing this from Waitomo on Tuesday 3rd Feb, this blog will tell of our adventures from Thursday last week in Auckland until Sunday, …

Our Intercity bus hopping has come to an end with our final journey to Auckland. The ticket for the almost 4 hour journey was again only $42 for both of us and was so easy. It really is a simple and convenient way to travel the country, did we mention that you get free wifi too? We had just one night in Auckland, staying at Nomads. The hostel didn' …

My day back in Auckland was spent shopping as I had anticipated. Although New Zealand can't really be described as 'cold' in comparison to the weather back home, it is cold in comparison to Australia. Where I've been used to walking around in a tank top and shorts during the day and a long sleeve and jeans at night, at times you need a lot more …

Woke up around 9:30am and had showers. No one was in the house as Ben & Kerry were at works and the kids were at school. We filled out Ben & Kerry’s Visitor book. It started to rain, so we waited about for a bit until it stopped, which it did quite quickly luckily!
