One of the cleanest and nicest hostels I've stayed in. It was right in the centre of Byron and I couldnt fault it. Great kitchen as well.

Clean, tidy, neat and simple. This was a great base for us. We arrived late on the Greyhound bus and there was someone to meet us. Even though it wasn't far to walk from the bus stop it just made it easier to be shown the way. The staff were friendly, wifi was good, restricted to reception area, but strong enough for skype.

Party hostel, lots of people, really noisy at night. Washrooms are always missing soap. Close to the main street. Events every night. Rooms are relatively clean. Nice big courtyard.

Great location, clean and friendly. The kitchen was quite hectic but what hostel kitchen isn't. A very wide variety of free food on the free food shelves. Jacuzzi on the roof deck was a plus although didn't work and was little bit dirty but had warm water in.

It had a lovely lounge area there! Out the back there was hammocks, jacuzzis and loads of seating! Unfortunately due to a CRAZY Spanish woman who freaked out at us because we were too loud the night we went out! She freaked at us ... She was a lunatic !!

I haven't stayed in many hostels, but this is definately one of the worst! Although when you walk in it's clean, bright and welcoming, once you get to the second level it becomes dark, grotty and smelly! We upgraded to a private room because of the smelly, dirty unisex toilets and showers. For $130 per night, the room was definately not worth it, and the 7am drilling and banging was the worst part due to the hostels refurbishments! A discount should definately have been offered!

Byron Bay = Hippie town! We spent four days in Byron bay and it was really nice. It was a cool town like Noosa but not as posh and had a real chilled out vibe. It's quite a big town and had lots of shops and restaurants etc. It's so hippie though, all the way people dress, people out on the streets playing music.

      We had drama …

Well-hostel life is very funny. Last night Bed comfy- though, has to be said,, Karen- nothing is going to beat bed at yours !! The "boys" came in during night -give them their due- made very little noise. We were up and out by 9- they were still asleep and had left when we got back. So now we have a guy from Finland - travelling on his own. Quick …

I've booked a day trip to Nimbin with Happy Coach through UltimateOZ. The bus came to pick me up at 10AM, and not to my surprise it was painted in a rainbow. There were quite a few of us, including one Japanese girl. The weather wasn't too nice, and we were actually driving towards the dark clouds. We first stopped by a lookout point off the …

I was really excited to finally leave Coolangatta, there just wasn't much to do. My Greyhound wasn't till 2PM in the afternoon and the courtesy shuttle bus only goes out at certain time so I left the hostel at 11AM. Just before I left I got to chat with one of the staff, Chantel, really nice girl from Brazil. She's quite young, early 20's, and have …

Last night we arrived at Surf Camp from Sydney.  It was a sort of surfer commune home to many dedicated surfers who spend months at a time there.  It had a really relaxed hostel vibe with a strong sense of community.   Our bunks were located in modified frieght shipping containers, which was pretty awesome.  Lots of …
