I have no idea what the time is. I think we are flying over the bottom of Morocco. It is 4191 miles to Rio, and we still have 7 hours and 43 minutes to go! BUT Phil's £50 spent on the extra leg room seat has been worth every penny and pound! I have the 'slide belt' container in front of me, which is a perfect size for my legs, as, when stretched out, fit perfectly on top of it! I have tried to watch Frozen, but I got about half way in and had to stop - maybe ...

... standing up it was time to leave and we headed home around 3ish, noticing on the way the Argentinian campsites that had sprung up over the city ahead of the final the following day. Thousands of Argentinians apparently crossed the border once they had reached the final so there were an estimated 100,000 in ...

After a great nights sleep in my queen bed (albeit with Blake), wake up refreshed and ready for the first game we have tickets for, Belgium v Russia at the legendary Maracana. Hop in the shower, which is sort of like driving a stick-shift car (I imagine, having never actually driven one) dealing with the hot and cold water. Alex, David's friend from Orlando, is supposed to be meeting us at our apartment at around 10:00 AM so Blake and I head out to grab some ...

Went to Ipanema and Copacobana beaches. Weather wasn't the best so did a lot of wandering around, stopping at beach stalls for food and looking at sand sculptures. In the evening we went to a favela party. Very odd. Drive out in a bus into the middle of a favela and suddenly there was a huge club like a warehouse. Lots of people dancing with their bums sticking ...

... view of rio plus an amazing up close view of the gist Christ, and it really was giant. We took some photos and then squeezed through the crowd and then the heat got a bit much for us to handle so we headed back home. Our host then had some of his friends over so we had beers on the balcony. We had a cruisy morning and tried not to eat too much because that afternoon we had been invited to a brazillian BBQ and thank god we didn't eat anything because ...
