    Our not so grand arrival

    ... seem to be specifically for show offs. Men linger around these doing the occassional pull up and press up when an attractive lady walks past. All a bit cringey!
    We were back at the hostel for 2pm and checked into our private double room (R120/40 per night). It was small but very bright and nice and clean. We both went for a shower. Mine was cold :( but nevermind it was refreshing at least! Then we we went out to look for somewhere to eat.
    We ended up at a pizza ...

    ... it turned as we drove passed and it was definitely a capybara - I'll probably find out they are really common later, but for the minute, it was a good spot!!!

    Lunch today was in a town called Congonlas. As we drove into town we had to drive up a very steep cobbled hill - I say 'we' but really I mean Rachel!! At the top was the Basilica do Bom Jesus de Matosinhas! Around the church were 'The Prophets' created by Aleijadinho's between 1800 ...
