Arrived in Rio de Janeiro Feb 6 to Newton's Rooftop Hostel in Copacabana. Small rooms, but adequate, really friendly people and staff in a really good location, about five minutes from the beach and all the speedos and thongs you could ask for, or not ask for. Here you need to know where to go I guess and I am sure they have the huge supermarkets attached to the malls, but there are not as many little corner shops, petrol stations, Spa's, Tesco Express's, all those you take for granted.
