After we arrived we stamped our passports and waited for a bus to Campo Grande where we would get a flight the next day to Rio. Arrived in Rio de Janeiro Feb 6 to Newton's Rooftop Hostel in Copacabana. Small rooms, but adequate, really friendly people and staff in a really good location, about five minutes from the beach and all the speedos and thongs you could ask for, or not ask for.
