We could see some red roofs in the distance, half hidden from view by a really tall vegetation covered limestone island. It was the Muslim Village of Koh Panye which is built on stilts over the water next to the island.

We snapped lots of photos here as we cruised by before we entered into an area where there were lots of limestone formations and mangroves. Our boat slowed down as there were plenty of ...

In first gear with the engine brake engaged, we crawled down the hillside, where Des smilingly said “We’ll get a bit more of that as we go along!”

So that was it for the Phuket side of town. We headed straight for the lovely coast of Patong Beach and settled in the delightful Coconut Village Resort.

staying in is nicely furnished with a comfortable double bed and en suite. The
only downside is that it’s fairly expensive costing $113AU per night to stay.

I’m overly excited to do some sight seeing tomorrow so I’d
