Nadi Bay Hotel

Thursday was a 9.30am start which wasn't too bad. I had half an hour to get myself ready to rock 'n' roll as checkout time was 10am. Wednesday the sun was shining (yay!) and I got up at 8.30am and hired some snorkelling gear ready to go on a 'guided snorkelling trip'. I had a great night's sleep on the Monday night and didn't bother getting up for breakfast on Tuesday..........as usual. I eventually got up at about 10am, read my book until midday and then had lunch. Lunch was a really nice buffet. We set aside 22nd (our last day in America) for a lazy day at the beach and therefore achieved little of note except sunburn (in Frankie's case severe enough the it was possible to feel the heat coming off her pretty much all evening!) Thursday was our last day of the Fiji Experience tour and, not due to depart Volivoli until 12, we headed down to the beach to see if low-tide had improved the place enough to merit staying longer. I landed in Fiji to find the expected wall of heat as I got off the plane, but also torrential rain, not so expected or welcome. My Beachcomber experience came to a close this morning, without much sadness on my part. The atmosphere, albeit fun and pleasing, had grown old quickly. Well, today we leave Plantation Island and head back to Nadi for two nights before flying to Auckland. It has been a great 6 days here with a lot of good memories especially with getting married at this resort island. We would recommend this resort for a vacation. It was a fairly large place with lots to do and the prices for food, drinks and excursions were reasonable.
