... crawling around the cans! From there we took a bus to Bounty's restaurant, which the taxi driver on the way in had recommended, however it looked very touristy so we ended up at the very Fijian Tu's Place for dinner. The dinner was amazing and very good value for the portions we got. We shared a starter of a slice of rou rou (taro leaves and spinach cooked in coconut) with grilled fish and a coconut cream sauce. It was amazing and there are ...

      Goodbye NZ, hello Fiji

... Fiji although I didn't know which flight. We waited apprehensively on the plane to see if they were on our flight. Fortunately, I won the bet and they boarded - being some of the last passengers. The plane journey was fine, with Fiji airways being the most welcoming hosts. Food was chicken pasta, from which I picked out the chicken and ate the cheddar cheese on the side. I meditated and then scanned the inflight mag which ...

But I couldn’t walk along it. Gutted. So back out to ...

... walked around a bit - I thought I might get a book to read, then gave up on that idea and went to the restaurant. It almost looked closed, the menu said it closed at 4 pm and it was after 4 when I got there but the waiter said it was open so I ordered a latte and sat next to the river on the deck. After a bit, a man in an orange shirt came over and said he was with security there and it is the Fijian way if someone sees a lone person, they go to entertain ...

Woke up super early! Sina was on time, arriving at 5.45am (she's normally a bit late aha) at my house then Melissa not long after to take us to the airport. The flight went really quickly & I watched "gone girl" which was such a twister of a movie! Landing was perfect too, was very impressed! We then headed into Nadi, to have a look around, but it wasn't that great. We still stopped and got a drink of water as it was so hot & a walk around. ...
