... hard in the kitchen and whilst they did what they had to do using a kerosene stove we all got to know each other and shared holiday experiences.

Before serving dinner Pa gave an impressive grace, thanking the Lord for everything but especially our patronage! The meal was served on a runner mat on the floor, and we all sat on the floor along the side of the runner. Food consisted of chicken, fish, and salads. ...

... some other handy-dandy perfect spot where it wouldn't get lost. But I really looked through everything I think.

I then called Tokatoka Resort - that was an ordeal - I tried to get help from the front desk but they weren't having any luck finding the correct phone number so I did locate the envelope Tokatoka gave with my receipt and it had their number. The Tokatoka reception desk said they would check and called back quite quickly. ...

    Bounty Island

... its frustrating that we got trapped (marooned on a desert island in fact) we have been lucky to have only lost a few quid on accommodation, rather than our homes and lives, as many people from the nearby island nation of Vanuatu did.
It was a relatively short crossing to Bounty Island, only 35 mins. Its the only resort on the island and once played host to the TV reality show Celebrity Love Island.
