Only complaint is a strange noise we couldn't place in the bedroom, also would have been better to have breakfast on site as we had to go to the expensive cafe next door or down the road.
Other than that we had a great stay, never an issue blagging a sunlounger and although the sea was rough it was fun to get involved.
    We'd definitely recommend.
Top tip: Check out the seafood BBQ restaurant next door, we shared a bottle of rum for less than £2.00

    Nice hostel

Nice clean hostel in a central location - although don't be deceived by the map in the Lonely Planet, Mui Ne is much larger than it seems. Accommodation in Mui Ne is also extremely expensive. The room overlooked the small pool, it really is small. Nice beachfront location with a few sun loungers. We took the trip to the sand dunes, which was reasonably priced. The guy who works behind reception tends to get a bit ratty at times but if you overheard some of the things being requested, you shouldn't be surprised.

Too much rules and dirty bathrooms

We stayed at the dormrooms. It is a six person dorm, and the room is quite small and the matrasses are too old to use. The bathroom is quite dirty, with fungi on the wall.
The owners are not that friendly. When we arrived we were first told that we could not sleep in the same dorm. But we booked the two beds in one reservation. Most annoying are the signs with rules, and there are rules for everything.
The resort is next to the ocean (like every other hotel in this town), but without a beach, with chairs to use, and the price is OK.

Great place to stay, a little pricey compared to anywhere else in Nam, but reasonable for expensive Mui Ne. Owner named John (I think) is Aussie and surprisingly speaks Welsh! Very accomodating and helpful when I had a motorbike crash while staying there. Couldn't ask for better service - ardderchog!

Facilities were also excellent and clean and good basic breakfast included

    Mui Ne (The WINDY City)

A travel blog entry by tehmistott on Mar 26, 2015

After one hell of a bumpy ride with no air on and amazing scenery myself and Faye arrived safely in the land of beach, red sand dunes and a heck load of wind. Mui Ne is a small fishing/beach town in the south of Vietnam which has a long stretch of beach set apart from desert like sand dunes, similar to what I would picture Morocco to look like. …

Mui Ne and eventful bus journeys...

So we got a bus from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne...and this is where our eventful day started... We were the last stop for pick up and when we got on the bus there was only 1 seat, despite us both having reserved seats 11a and 11b. So we sat at the front for a minute while the driver pulled in and magically found a spare seat, we think what happens is …

I am slightly behind on my blog for once, so although I arrived in Saigon last night, I promise this entry is for Mui Ne! Continuing on from the last blog entry, after arriving at our hostel/resort last friday (17th), it was just time to read some of my book & go for dinner. We found a nice place by the beach, and again beer was cheaper than water …

    Mui Ne- beach time!

We woke up and it was still raining, thank goodness we are heading to Mui Ne today. The rain was expected as we knew there was a typhoon due from the Philippines and was about to hit most of southern Vietnam. The bus journey is long and tiring, it stopped once for a bus change and toilet break, apart from that it was six and half hours long with...

    Driver vs. Driver.

A seriously messed up journey, but we made it to the beaches of Mui Ne. After waking up 15min before our bus was supposed to leave, rushing around in a hangover fog to pack our stuff up, we ended up waiting around for the 40min late bus. THEN the bus drove right through Mui Ne without telling us we were there ( like we're supposed to just *know*...
