      ... that after tonight, I'll only have two more nights on this tour before I'm on my own again. That's kind of a weird feeling. As much as I was apprehensive about going on a tour, I've gotten quite used to having people around and having much of my time organised for me. The city is split into two areas, one was the Old Town and castle where we were staying, and the other was the outer city that now encases the Old Town where we were now standing waiting for a ride to our accommodation.       ... priorities today have been to see Ljubljana Castle ( took the funicular up) all the bridges in town and get info to visit Lake Bled and Bojini tomorrow - we managed all this and more and spent about 6 hours trekking around town - going out tonight for a couple of beers, followed by dinner somewhere and a free concert in the town square.
      Booked a day tour to Lake Bled and Lake Bojini and spent the day at the 2 ...

      ... of the entries you might be able to guess my family's favorite food and the easiest food to find in Europe) We walked to a nearby restaurant and got some personal pizzas for everyone, except for Alex who had gotten a doner-kebab along the way in the style of a hamburger. On the way out we saw a momma-cat nursing her four little kittens in the grass. Then they all fell asleep on top of each other. Very cute. Then we came back to our apartment and played card games.

      b) the carriage with two ridiculously pretty girls, early 20s, from Germany and Switzerland?

      I might be stupid, but Im not an idiot. After the nine hour train ride, we said our goodbyes, and the father of the young family whos carriage I shared, gave me a ripe orange and a few biscuits. Of course Im joking. But it was a little bit sad to say goodbye to Victoria and Florence. Never to be seen again.
