... for Atticus B&B on the fourth floor said we could check in then and there, and went out of their way to explain interesting spots on a map that they gave us, and were lovely with Squirt.
The rooms themselves - they have eleven, all on the fourth floor, in an attic - are really fun. Lots of black and white decor and exposed beams. It's very unique, we really like it!

It was another glorious day in Italy as I bid farewell to Venice. Our lovely Tour Leader, Antonia met myself and the 6 other fellow tourers at our hotel and after a quick meet and greet we were taking one last short stroll along the cobbled streets of Venice as we made our way to the awaiting van. Oh how I just love Venice... it has a magic about it which just draws me in and has me wanting to explore each and every alleyway, canal and bridge.

... chatting with us asking where we were from and such, then saw how big our eyes got and gave us each a free krapfen "to welcome two Canadian students to the area." At the end of this day, I was reflecting on just how helpful and sweet people had been to us so far and, feeling thankful and excited set my alarm for our 4:30am wakeup to catch the train off to Ljubljana.

Ljubljana A busy day today. We had
noticed on the web that there was a free tour today so we walked into
to join this at 11.00. On the way we passed the market square. It
is a really great market space in the city centre. Fairly new it was
designed by Joze Plecnik, a famous local architect, in the 1920's.
