Morags Lodge Fort Augustus

I set of early the next morning to meet up with a tour group for 3 days to see the Scottish highlands and the Isle of Skye. After setting off early in the morning we first stopped off in a little town that had an old church that had been burnt down. The next day we set out to see the Isle of Skye. On the way we first stopped off at Eilean Donan castle which was really, really cool. It is one of those castles that you always see on postcards or calendars or random pics of Scotland and it is an awesome castle and I don't think you can take a bad picture of it. Well today opened, cold, rainy and wet - guess all the sunny weather is well and truly behind us. Onto the bus we got, and before long we were all the stome pretty waterfalls set in beautiful forest which are all the colours of the rainbow at the moment. Happy Birthday Grandma and Stacy!! Unfortunate news, Dad: we will not be travelling into Aberdeen on this trip as there is not enough time. I am very disappointed, but am sure that we will have no problems finding out way around once we're there next year. We drove into the Isle of Skye and the fairy Glen today. Spent two days with my friend Karin. We went on a guided two night tour thru the Highlands from Edinburgh, to loch ness, Skye, Inverness and back to Edinburgh. Picture are better than words. I highly recommend the trip: Haggis Tours Skye High Tour.

Today I left SYHA Torridon (with the key I must add) and headed off to Fort Augustus via Inverness, again stopping along the way to take some photos.

I must say, it was nice to stop in Inverness and actually see some people around. I had a walk around the shops, filled the car up with diesel and went shopping in Morisons.
