    Paid for a triple and a double through a travel agency and upon arrival ended up all 5 of us getting squished into one larger room. It was ok, had a/c but one person was expected to sleep on a mat on the floor which is not what we paid for. Other than that it was nice, overpriced breakfast but the owner is a hoot - loved having her around

    The staff are helpful, there are bikes to rent but I found the uncleanliness disappointing. How much effort does it take to wipe down a sink? No loo roll supplied, towels are nearly seethrough.
    The green tea is perfect though! I wouldn't go back, shamebecause the building itself looks lovely. Maybe we just got a bad room.

    ... which is like 20 minutes from Ayutthaya city. This palace has history dating back to the 17th century but most of the buildings standing today were built in the late 1800s. Today is used only occasionally by King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit for holding receptions and banquets. Queen Elisabeth II is one of the few international Royals to have stayed the night there. There is something like 50 acres of grounds that include shrines, memorials, ponds, fish, turtles, temples, ...
