Paid for a triple and a double through a travel agency and upon arrival ended up all 5 of us getting squished into one larger room. It was ok, had a/c but one person was expected to sleep on a mat on the floor which is not what we paid for. Other than that it was nice, overpriced breakfast but the owner is a hoot - loved having her around

The staff are helpful, there are bikes to rent but I found the uncleanliness disappointing. How much effort does it take to wipe down a sink? No loo roll supplied, towels are nearly seethrough.
The green tea is perfect though! I wouldn't go back, shamebecause the building itself looks lovely. Maybe we just got a bad room.

We walked around and admired him for a long time, sat looking at him, got sun-baked because the hot sun reflected off his gold skin like a mirror, then eventually walked down from the pedestal and explored the rest of the complex.

The next place we went in the complex was an area below the Buddha that contained life-sized figures depicting Buddhist hell and heaven. A lot ...
