... the Lake, and there is a paved over rail line, now a bicycle/pedestrian track right into town, and who knows how far off north of town. That is how we did go into town for the afternoon, and we explored a couple of miles northward as well.

... a red light had us running into the bank nearby, trying to desperately get any control over our fingers back. Impossible. Montreal is a BEAUTIFUL city! It may be due to the entire place covered in 4 feet of snow, or the fact our faces are wrapped up tightly in scarfs and hoods, so we can't see anything.... No it's stunning! The 6 hour drive from Toronto to Montreal ended up taking 7.5 due to bad weather (ice pellets and rain turning the road into ice).
